Our #EIPA colleagues concluded their conference with a series of hostage families in Brussels. In their presence was H.E. Haim Regev, the #ambassador of the #StateofIsrael to the #EuropeanUnion and #Nato.
One such family is that of Omri Miran, 46, taken from Kibbutz Nahal Oz with his partner Lishai and daughters Roni and Alma. Tragically, they fell victim after Omri was deceived into opening the shelter door.
Similarly, Arbel, 28, and Dolev Yehud, 35, were abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz. Dolev’s wife, Sigi, bravely gave birth while he was held captive. Arbel was taken with her partner Ariel Konyo. Their German citizenship adds another layer to their ordeal.
Rom Breslavsky, 19, vanished after heroically safeguarding lives at the ‘Nova’ festival, while Oz Daniel, also 19, was snatched on the day of the attack. Oz’s musical aspirations highlight the dreams put on hold by this tragedy.
