The JEP summer event began with a tour of central Berlin including the Reichstag, Brandenburg gate and Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.
In the evening guests were lucky to enjoy a Gala Dinner and hear from Israel’s Ambassador to Germany as well as some words of wisdom from Rabbi Yehuda Teichtel.
On Friday the day out included a visit to Wannsee where the foundations for the Final Solution were made, followed by the beautiful Potsdam palace and scenic gardens. Participants got to enjoy a refreshing and relaxing Shabbat in the hotel, before visiting the Berlin Synagogue and learning about the current Jewish community.
