Consistoire de Paris (ACIP)

The Consistory of Paris (ACIP), or the Israelite Consistorial Assembly of Paris, is a Jewish religious institution based in Paris, France. Established in 1808, its mission is to oversee and promote Jewish religious practices in the Paris region. The Consistory is responsible for appointing and supervising rabbis, organizing religious services such as prayers, festivals, and community events, as well as managing Jewish religious institutions such as synagogues and schools. Additionally, the Consistory of Paris plays a significant role in preserving and promoting Jewish identity in the region by offering educational, cultural, and social programs to its community. It also represents the interests of the Jewish community to French civil and religious authorities.
